The Asian Pacific American Leadership Foundation (APALF)
The Asian Pacific Leadership Foundation was founded in 2003 with the mission of engaging the AAPI community in active civic participation by creating, supporting, building and strengthening the local community infrastructure to help prepare and train qualified AAPI leaders for public service.
We created The Generation of AAPI Leaders and our programs and initiatives build and strengthen the AAPI infrastructure to advance and empower the AAPI community.
Our Mission
Engage the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community in active civic participation by creating, supporting, building and strengthening the local community infrastructure to help prepare and train qualified AAPI leaders for public service.
Creating The Generation
of AAPI Leaders
For more than two decades, APALF has cultivated candidates who have successfully transformed themselves from concerned and committed community members into seasoned, visionary strategic leaders — ready to serve at all levels of government.
What We Do
Encourage AAPIs to be active leaders in their local communities and beyond.
Equip AAPI leaders with tools and skills to better serve their constituencies.
Connect AAPI leaders from around the country, including past and current elected and appointed officials.
Serve the needs of our national AAPI community.
APALF’s Winning Tradition
For the last two decades, APALF participants have had tremendous success in pursuing public office.
"I wish APALF existed when I began my journey in public service 40 years ago. Frankly there is no other program which exists who provides the knowledge, access, insights and expertise to win and service in public office. APALF has trained the current, and hopefully future, generation of AAPI leaders".
